Project Lead

Dr Priscilla Akua Vitoh

Dr. Priscilla Akua Vitoh, a lecturer of law at the University of Leicester, heads the Initiative, bringing over a decade of practical experience in financial and business development roles across sub-Saharan Africa. As a former relationship manager for Retail and SME banking in a leading African bank and business development lead for a multi-national financial services company, Dr Vitoh combines her academic expertise with real-world insights. Beyond her academic pursuits, since 2016, she has been an active woman entrepreneur, co-founding and managing a social enterprise committed to empowering African women and youth by providing decent work in the domestic sector. Inspired by a matriarchal family of strong businesswomen, including her mother and aunts, Dr. Vitoh has witnessed firsthand the profound impact women can have on their families and communities through entrepreneurship.
